well after the storm i went out with high hopes of a bumper session,i was hoping that the sand had been stripped off the beaches from the low water mark up to mid tide mark, but i was to be dissappointed however the high tide mark had been stripped down so i concentrated on this mark,i spent 3 days and approx 21hours between aberdovey and shell island, and my grand total was £3o in new money, around £4 in old decimal money 50p etc, around  one kilo in weight of old copper and new copper coins, around 100 plus bullets,2 pre 1947 sixpences,2 pre 1947 shillings,1 william 111 sixpence badly worn,an 1870 shilling, and a silver ring very light in weight, would love to find these beaches stripped of sand around the low water mark up to mid tide mark, the reason i say this is because the sand on these beaches is so soft almost like very fine shingle and i never get any positive signals from fishing weights etc and i know these beaches get a lot of fishing pressure, could anyone tell me if these beaches have a hard pack,or what conditions are neede to strip the sand off these beaches?
