First silver. One gersh 1895 Ethiopia

Hi all, the brass object found today weights 7/8 oz, has some nice markings, looks like
a weight, but for what? The lead square, about the size of a stamp, weighs 3/8 oz, I found
earlier this week in the same field. It is crudely made, the hole punched by a square cut
nail, might be a fishing weight.
