found this earlier, it is slightly smaller than a halfpenny with a ship on it, it was really deep down.its incredibly thin, where its bent i had a look thru the magnifying glass and the edge looks goldy/silver.
i would love to know if its a coin or a piece of junk,gauging by the depth and by other stuff ive found in the field I would think its very old whatever it is.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that old half pennies had a ship on the front. When I say old I mean I remember them. Roll Eyes  No rude comments please.

Well done Jassy, at least you know that the machine is working.
Difficult to be sure obviously, but I would be leaning towards it being a mid 17thC tradesman's token...either a farthing or halfpenny. It could be a Nuremberg Jetton as they are very thin which could push it back to the 16thC.

Like Chef said, possibly a jeton. Did you mean you can see a ship on it or were you comparing the size to a ship halfpenny?
