Title: Interesting worked lead piece Post by: MarcB on March 12, 2016, 11:14:46 AM As you see this lead piece has been worked in to this shape with a hole through it.
Any ideas? Cheers Title: Re: Interesting worked lead piece Post by: dingdong on March 12, 2016, 06:46:49 PM Roman funnel for filling oil lamps !!?...just guessing really !!👍

If there's one thing that we all find it's pot mends. All shapes and sizes and you'd be hard pressed to say exactly what was mended. I always say that all finds are interesting to some extent. They help you build up a picture of life in the area in the past. Also gives you an indication of what you might find in the area. Keep going, you never know.
