Sounds like a good idea to me, many times I have been tryiing to find a stick suitable for scraping off the mud

looks like a baby coat hanger with a handle to me...i use a putty knife ,you can flick the mud further with that, its possible to hit someones back over 20 feet away with it  Wink

A very simple but effective item i have seen a few in use and are
