I've seen cap badges and the like posted on this site. Does anyone have a find that they think might be early? Any kind of military insignia? I am especially interested in the 24th(2nd Warwickshire) Regiment of Foot. The regiment that made the famous stand at Rorke's Drift immortalised in Zulu. As the regiment was based in Brecon perhaps someone has come across a Shako plate, helmet plate or the like.

Any pictures of old regimental insignia at all? Any regiment?

Cheers for the thought Digga, I'll take a look. Thanks for taking the time. I have an extensive library of militatry history books, reference books relating to miltary regalia, biographies, service histories, regimental histories and probably over fifty books dealing solely with the Anglo- Zulu war. If anyone finds anything with a military link I will gladly do a look up on to see what I can find or help point you in the direction of someone who can. A few of the people who I am in contact with are military authors.

If its the cap badge I'm thinking of Kev it has the sphynx on it. And strangely enough it also looks like Isandlwhana hill where the regiment lost so many soldiers.
