Bad news Frank, sorry to hear it.

Hi Frank,I totally understand your predicament and i totally understand your reasons for giving up the hobby, like your self I went out with my detecting buddy on a particularly hot day,and yep!! I totally over did it,felt a bit rough on the way home, when igot indoors,I got the Mrs to put the heart /blood pressure monitor on me,well,my heart beat was off the scale, irregular heart beat, palpitations and initially the machine wouldn't even register it kept on saying error!!very, very scarey!!
Into the "quack" the next day,it turned out that I was suffering from heatstroke
The prognosis was actually a bit of relief, all the symptoms were brought on by myself.
My points being, that as we all get older we have to realise that we cannot continue go at the same pace as we used to.
Not only that,I actually think it's an absolute necessity that we should not go detecting alone, because "things can happen"
And as I said earlier, give yourself a good long rest,a total chill out!!keep hold of your gear for a while perhaps get someone to dig for you?
Whatever you decide, stay in touch with the forum, and of course,I wish you a very speedy recovery, all the very, very best Frank.
Take care mate, Chris👍

really sorry to here that mate and hope you ok,i have had eptopick heart beat for a few month and i got beater blockers and they have passed now and stopped taking them about a week ago but is scared the shit out of me at the time so i sort of know how you feel its scary and frustrating and very stressful all at once  :-\.my son is 16 and wants to come with me on the digs so if you really want to sell your gear i would be interested to buy but would feel really guilty to buy as i know what it means to some one to give a loved sport but it would go to some new blood in the sport and get well used   ring me if you are really sure you have had enough mate 07889419187 all the best Anthony
