New to metal detecting, was thinking about getting the garrett ace 250? but if anyone has any other suggestions id be greatful for any other help. thanks

Goden Mask 1hf is a great entry level detector. Much deeper that the 250. Very fast recovery and easy to use.

yeah - gm3+ is very very deep on ploughed and pasture. I used to have one!!

Sure. I found some good stuff with mine. It was a bit heavy for me so I've a T2 now, similar machine in some ways.
