If not you can download a foreshore permit on line & do a bit of beach detecting, good luck and good hunting with your quattro. ;)

Only protected areas like wildlife reserves and commercial property would be out of bounds. Also some beaches like pendine have been used for military explosive tests and smallarms fire so I wouldnt recomment using a detector near somewhere with unexploded ordinance on. Otherwise the world is your lobster. Be prepared for close scrutiny from small kids and foreigners on holiday though. Metal detecting is a spectator sport to them. Eric Title: Re: newby in wrexham Post by: EMU Ex Minelabuser on May 27, 2011, 09:29:27 PM a good tip that provided by dances with badgers is to carry a bottle top with broken glass in it and when you get the inevitable you should not be doing detecting here dig it out and say if i was not doing this this could have caused some one a nasty injury we all provide a service of cleaning up the beaches and we seem to get nagged bu tourists
Darren Title: Re: newby in wrexham Post by: Dusty on June 24, 2011, 06:26:08 PM I'd suggest Rhos Mountain and have a scan down to the forestry, haven't picked up a great deal - maybe a couple of quid and some 1940's coins but I did find an American coin (1930) which was pretty unusual!
