Theres a lot of knowledge on this site , some members are exremely knowlegable with certain machines others with several machines. What I would like to do is ask these members to step up to the mark and become a machine guru.

What I would ask is that they dont feel as if theyre blowing their own trumpet ,and other members do not see them as being know it alls.

We have a huge number of newbies on here a lot of who are trying to get to grips with new machines and may well be making simple errors that can spoil the hobby for them. I know we've all got to learn and start somewhere but with a little leg up they can hit the ground running.

If anyone would like to be a machine guru please add to this thread or pm me. This is anyone that feels they know a machine(s) well enough to help any new starter.

At the end of the day we're all on this site for a reason, and all get different positives out of the whole DW experience. We must all have positives that we take away from this site or why else would we keep returning to it  (And by this I mean past member "Guests" as well as current members)

I'm a bit of a guru with the DFX, if that's any help.

I'll offer my services on recording find spots, whilst in the field, setting up an archive system in excel for your personal records [if u want google earth - see chefs excellent post] and advising newcomers as to what information is needed when recordong finds with PAS.

All finds [over 300 yrs old] should be recorded on the national databases, either on PAS or UKDFD
