An old feller I used to know (he's departed this world now) told me he was employed by Severn Trent Water to find pipelines at Lake Vyrnwy since they'd managed to lose all their maps. He didn't use dowsing rods, told me he only had to stand above the p[ipelines and could feel the power through his whole body. Very tiring he said, it took all his energy out of him. So obviuosly the water authority accepts that dowsing works.

A subject I have talked about quite a bit best explained by a site we dug in South Herefordshire back just after the Millenium. Chap we dug with asked if he could use the rods to find the ditches of a cropmark site we were to dig. He marked it out with pegs and we then Geophysed the first 20x20 to put a trench in. Came up with the first trench being ten metres away from the dowsing pegs and bar a lens of finds we found no ditch and as we all thought oh well the lead archaeologist realised the computer had malfunctioning software we re aligned the grid and the Geophys was right where the pegs were. I still can not believe it and yes I did have a go and they moved for me in all the right places. Can,t explain it but I have since seen this person do on numerous occasions.

Works for me, I can find water courses and pipes, two copper welding rods with a 90deg bend, and your away, even worked for my daughters, will make some more, and bring them along next time I can attend a rally, and let anyone who wants to use them.
