Had us a day walking up the Black mountains today, calling in to Llanthony Priory on the way back for a look round, then popped into the Skirrid Inn for a pint afterwards.
Anyone ever searched near to these areas?

I once stopped at the Priory & got chatting to the farmer next door, i got a No but he did tell me the Archie`s had once done a dig there & found absolutely nothing of any interest & put it down to the Monks being exceptionally Poor !  Undecided

Did some work up there a few years ago and some archies put a trench in before we did our work across some platforms that were thoght to be medieval and turned out to be first world war. Oh well
