Just a quick up date on this rally. The farmer has had to get archaeologists in as some structural work will be getting carried out on the farmland on a later date.

The used a circular cutting machine to take up a large swathe of the field where they suspected the Deserted Medieval village to be.

They found the 'surface of what they were hoping to find' That would explain the huge amount of hammereds on these 3 fields. It is these three fields we will be returning to.

Just goes to show what recording can do. Smiley
