2p included for scale, think its copper, thin like a hammy. havent cleaned as im unsure how old it is? Cant seem to see any detail. how shud i clean it up? Any sugestions of age or anything greatfully recived!  Huh Huh Huh

welcome to the world of horrible acidic welsh soil. Usually when coppers are found in this state the designs have gone years ago. and no amount of cleaning will improve them. if this is the same sizish as a 2p ,chances are its George 2nd halfpenny.

Or even George I and if that is the true colour of it as it came out of the soil then I'll say it's a William III.

I think I can see the vague outline of a harp in the second picture, which would make it a Georgian period Irish copper, or a forgery of one.

fiddled with the image of the coin a bit and got this, looks like a headfacing left but dont recognize the face.

And the back looks like a ship in full sail, probably the half penny reverse. Cant see a date though.

facing right big time , to be honest look like a Edward to me  i open that picture with paint aND draw a line all around the coin and look like a edward see eye facing right
