Just to add to the posts about Cardiff. Permits to detect on the parks and other land owned by Cardiff Council are only issued to members of Cardiff Scan Club. The club spent a lot of time and effort negotiating this agreement.

Cardiff Scan Club is full at present and there are unlikely to be any new members able to join before April 2015.

And to re-iterate - CSC are currently re-negotiating that agreement (and it was one of the reasons I joined CSC)
