My self and keepmeteethinthejar.....had a few hours on Barry yesterday, on arrival there was a few stones showing at the top of the beach, looked like the sand had come of in a small area to expose the left overs of last years storms Grin the best find goes to Paul who had a statue of the Brussels famous peeing boy just how it come to be here is a bit of a odd one, still a nice find, Paul at first wondered what the boy  was holding in his hand and then he said he wish he was that well endowed Grin Grin Grin. We both had the CTX'S on full blast I was trying a new program from MLO, Mals beach program.....and was amazed at the depth of things coming up it will now be my main beach program. As you can see no gold but a good day we both enjoyed.  Smiley

About the Belgian Manneken Pis souvenir:

The original 61 cm tall bronze statue on the corner of Rue de l'Etuve and Rue des Grands Carmes was made in 1619 by Brussels sculptor Hieronimus Duquesnoy the Elder, father of the more famous François Duquesnoy.

There are several legends behind this statue, but the most famous is the one about Duke Godfrey III of Leuven. In 1142, the troops of this two-year-old lord were battling against the troops of the Berthouts, the lords of Grimbergen, in Ransbeke (now Neder-Over-Heembeek). The troops put the infant lord in a basket and hung the basket in a tree to encourage them. From there, the boy urinated on the troops of the Berthouts, who eventually lost the battle.

There are other legends too.
