Met up with Metalmonster today on a local beach today and had a very nice day .
First i found the goldie lookin ring (which i have no clue about).
Metalmonster then found a great big hinged silver bracelet (prob victorian)
Then i found a silver ring (eyes only) lying embedded in the sand shortly followed by a christening style bracelet (but larger than a childs one)
Then Metalmonster found a mystery coin which i drooled over and i cant wait to find out what it is and what it is made out of it looked gold but could have been a bright copper i couldnt identify it but it was def pretty old.
I finished off with a george iii cartwheel penny.
There were modern coins , george v coins aplenty plus the usual  bits of scrap lead and canslaw .Also some musket balls from a brown bess which Metal monster gave me for my husband.I also found what we think is a 50 caliber bullet  prob from a dogfight.

Looks like a good days detecting well done both but my advice would be to go out into the garden, dig a hole and bury that .50 round now as it looks to be an incendiary tracer round which hasn't gone off, these are phosphorus rounds and when they ignite they do what it says on the tin Wink

What a day you two had, well done on the finds, lovely jubbly.    Grin

Can't see the writing ? on the silver and gold ring but it looks back to front. Could it be a seal ring ??
