Thanks for the info Chef & Neil, I thought Medieval, but had no real idea Smiley  I'll try and get hold of my FLO to report it, but we rarely see him down here as he's usually in Shrewsbury I think, or would you rather me contact your FLO for that area Chef ?  This came off the field immediately behind taff's brooch field, towards the style.

Some great find photos by the looks of it, nice to see what was pulled out Smiley  It was all hard won...

Just want to thank everyone for a great day I had, despite the frozen ground and of course, the sticky mud Smiley It was great to see some familiar faces as always, and some new ones too. I also want to thank everyone who organised the day, and Geoff especially, for now making my Roman Fibula count a mega 3 LOL, 2 and a half actually if you you look at it realistically. So yes, thanks again everyone!

Superb report yet again Neil and thanks to the team for their hard work in arranging a great location; not forgetting Chef for the 'loan' of his land.  Thank you Chef for the id on our first hammered, we are still on a high and keep getting the magnifying glass out to reassure ourselves that Yes, WE FOUND A HAMMERED!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Grin

See you all in a field soon
