Did not find much myself today but as usual only got a couple of hours in. Yes you guessed it chatting the rest of it. Still well proud to see some great coins and artifacts today. The gold ring was fantastic but was also pleased to see Peter H,s pendant. Nomads pendant was good to and also saw a couple of the hammered coins. Well done all and here,s hoping the next is as fruitful. Here are a few pics I took today.

The Forest of Dean and Wolverhampton were represented by these two likeable characters. Though bribes were offered for more arty type shots this was turned down due to the photographers need for a cup of tea.

Did you know that another very similar pendant/mount, in better condition, was found by another member towards the end of the day. I saw it, but I can't remember who had it.

Another enjoyable day, even tho finds were scarce.
I was almost going to call it a day then I saw the ring. Jaw dropping and stunning! Shocked Shocked Now charged with fresh expectations I carried on for a few more hours and did winkle out a roman bronze which was pleasing.
Thanks again to the DW team!

Great write-up Neil  Cheesy

Although not a lot of finds - the ones that did come up were superb - and what a corker of a gold ring  Shocked

Had a smashing day - thanks to the team.

Missed you Tafflaff and Roman Ray   Wink

Another great report Neil and really fast too! Some nice pics as usual. Really good ones from Paul too. I particularly like the one with Neil in front of the huge pile of manure with the DW flag sticking out of it. Perhaps we ought to suggest it to Treasure Hunting magazine as a possible cover picture?
