Thanks to the organisers for a lovely day. It was my first rally and I was pleased to find a musket ball.  Thanks to Steve, who lent me his Laser Hawkeye when mine broke. It was really nice to meet othe members and to find everyone so friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the next rally.

Well I've spoke to the farmer and we are welcome to return. Lets not forget that in August the crops on the right and left are going to be harvested and I personally think its ideal for the 2 dayer. What do we all think ?

Ok by me if there is a fairly good notice period so I can get the days off.

My knife handle thingy is looking to be roman, very similar to stuff on PAS.

Yes, I can read it but wont translate and spoil it for others.

It's one thing they tell you about reading old English. Don't try to interpret each letter in a word, look at the whole thing. Like I always used to tell the boys  'if you can read you can do anything' aren't our brains wonderful.

Shungav,s Chichester Token is this one I think. Payable at Dalleys of Chichester and dating to the Late 1700.s. What it is doing in a Herefordshire field god only knows. Still a nice find.
