Brooch For ID

HI all
Tom of Tomo From the DW came to our charity dig on Sunday and found this Brooch. Any clues to age I'm sure he will post the item once cleaned.

Tom showed me the brooch yesterday just as I was leaving I think he said he found it up on the hill along with a spindle whorl and some other interesting objects. looks like he did well yesterday.

He told me he had come down off the hill as he had heard his sandwiches calling ! Grin
