Title: one little happy chappie
Post by: congerman on December 29, 2013, 09:41:44 PM
Was on the  beach today as I found A new low spot and had to search it  ;D there were A couple there with their young lad he looked about 5 years old they had bought him A kiddies  detector from argos for xmas he was fascinated with my  detector and they said he had not found any thing they had been all over the beach for around x3 hrs he asked if I was looking for treasure like him  so I gave him my headphones to put on he was too small to pick my detector up so I flipped An old halfpenny  coin onto the sand and stood it into the sand I said listen for the treasure sound to change he was smiling all the way from ear to ear then he shouted treasure ,treasure then started to dig with his little plastic spade he was so excited the sand was going everywhere so I found the coin with the machine it was about x2 foot away from where he had dug it up from I gave him my pro pointer to find it and when he did he was jumping up and down saying look mummy, daddy Its real treasure its A coin can I keep it so I said yes he was going to take it to his grans on the way home to show them he was so happy his parents said they could not believe that A total stranger would take the time to do this for there child and there coment on leaving said it all you have given him A memory he will treasure for life thanks for that  :) :)

Well done Congerman. How nice to hear a fella will do that.

I've done it in the past and it's a very special feeling to watch their little faces when they find something.
