Thats the safe way too Rob,  they can get quite scary some of those farmer,  on the whole though mine have been good,
 and you don't know if someone is already going there till you ask,  iv'e had it a couple of times too, but they have been ok about it,

well done Millsey,  hmmm i'll have to remember the shake of the hand ect lol,  i used to carry the f.i.d  free search card with me to give to them to,   whether  they give permision or not

That’s a bit extreme Viking, cant say a farmer has ever been anything but pleasant to me, although I have been present when a farmer started shouting and yelling at another detectorist, who apparently trespassed on his land at some point.  I didn't know the guy, he just turned up on his own.

Well done Millsy mate. It pays to show manners and professionalism. It must all help with the Image that Detecting Wales shows. Anything that Nighthawkers do needs to be redressed and if we all make that extra effort gotta be a big plus.
