Title: Re: Hammered for ID please Post by: The Doc on September 18, 2014, 07:24:46 PM Sorry, but I disagree with two of your IDs Ben.
The first one is a voided short cross cut halfpenny, London mint, struck in the reign of John. The class appears to be 5b and the moneyer's name looks like it ends in a 'D', and most probably is Ricard. The second one is a Lizzie sixpence 1569 not a threepence. The third one is indeed an Edward I penny, London mint, class 3g or thereabouts. Title: Re: Hammered for ID please Post by: The Doc on September 18, 2014, 07:26:45 PM Sorry forgot to say, the mintmark on the Lizzie is castle not coronet.
