I think it's silver, all it's got is a lion hallmark and some initials on......any ideas please

Can't see the Hall Marks Steve.  Doesn't look too old but have a look at this site. They have pretty well every design you can think of.

I s'pose spoons can be made the same as rings.  Under the counter so to speak.  The Lion  (Oh Gawd we're back to them again) is the London Mark but it's strange that there is no makers mark.  Usually the other way round  if they were  under the counter.

Must admit I thought it was strange having only the one mark?? It's not worn off the spoon it is in good condition?? A very confused searcher Huh

Hi Steve, judging by the design and how it is made it has a lot of age to it Grin,I would like to see it, I've seen similar spoons that we a few hundred years old, well found mate  Wink
