Title: Church field finds
Post by: hedgehog on January 25, 2009, 12:57:51 PM
The lion seal I'm not sure about the date any advice would be appreciated, I was thinking possibly 17th cent.
It was found on a footpath leading to a church about 11 years ago.
The dagger quillon was found on a church field (different) where hammered coins were coming up (I love church fields) around the same time. They are welsh finds!
Borrowed my daughter's camera to take the photo's, there was a lot of  ??? and  ::) but I got around it in the end (she took the photo's) ;D

Lovely finds thoses Hedgehog, I have some land that backs directly onto a church & it looks so promising yet to this day I've never found anything other than scrap!

I will be out on it again next week when it dries up as I'm sure there must be something on it!
  ;)
