Title: Another new member,me
Post by: brian43 on March 19, 2013, 12:29:35 PM
Hello guys and ladies, I have been detecting only since last August in a serious way. I joined the SAS and really love this game. I am 69 and only wish I had started years ago. Just worried now that I might shuffle off before I find that golden pile ;D. I was a chippie for many years and a soldier before that. i retired a couple of years ago and this seemed a good way to keep fit and meet nice people and so far that has been my expierience. I have managed to find a couple permissions and my best find so far must be the CharlesI sixpence that turned up a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, nice to be here and perhaps I will meet some of you on the Bridgwater rally in a week or so. Cheers, Brian.

Welcome Brian. Being a fairly recent detectorist myself, 18 months or so but really enjoying the hobby.
I feel you get out what you put in and I spend as much time on research and related area's as I do in the field,
so if I do have an 'off day' so to speak, I can still immerse myself in that aspect.
Always something to keep me interested.
