I was out detecting yesterday with my father ( Ace ), and brother-in-law ( TinTin ), on one of our new farms.
A glorious day as you can see from the photo below.
It was the first time the three of us had detected on ploughed land, our expectations were high, but to be honest, we found it hard work.
The fields had been ploughed and rolled, but were still very soft, more like trying to walk on soft sand  Undecided.
Anyway, we all had the usual finds of bullets, buttons ,musket balls, and Ace found the first coin, a Halfpenny.
No other coins turned up , until 10 Min's before packing up. I had a great signal and to my amazement found my first ever Hammie, very worn, but as my father said, its a HAMMIE  Grin Grin, also a couple of feet away i found a very small roman grot, landed.
Although very worn, i was wondering if Peter could possibly I.D. the coin for me and tell me how old it is.
Thanks Josh  Wink Wink
