Out wiv our club today one of our members found this bronze figure .there were allsorts of ideas as to what it is so i offered to post on dw to hopefully get a poss id and age , i must say that it isnt a thread on the bottom but ribs instead thank you for any posts roger g    Grin

Eros was the Greek God of love but it looks like a water carrier to me but surely Roman judging by the robes and style. Very nice find

looks a bit too stylised for Victorian I would have said.

 Victorian design is usually much more realistic and their casting quality  was superb quality not crude like this item .  Wink
