The Welsh are the Worlds most famous pirates - a lot of it has to do with the extradition after the Second English Civil War of Welsh noble man and middle ranks to the Caribbean! I know that 600 from the battle of St Fagans in 1648 (a stones throw from where I live} were sent there. I was in Antigua in 96 for a few weeks and ever person I met was a local Jones, Williams, Evans, Griffiths, etc . . .
