Update:

The coins section on the gallery is pretty much Ready for use. The whole idea of the Gallery is to group Detcting Wales member finds in one place. As it is at the moment, finds are posted but are then lost amongst the huge amount of posts. Its really in its early stage at the moment and will probably see teething problems.

I havent split the coins into seperate Monarchs as yet, though as the finds increase the categories will be split further and eventually be split into individual Monarchs as well as the Time era.

To start with I think it will be a good idea for only Moderators to post to this Gallery, until at least we can agree a format to follow. Only only coins to go into the Gallery at the moment will be

1/ Found during 2010
2/ Have a nice clear picture of Front and back
3/ Have a positive id (I may add a category for unidentified coins

The Artifacts section will follow, with a limited amount of categories. Again as the finds come in , more and more categories will be added. The same stipulations apply as in  1+2 above.

Any ideas, extra categories, problems (or offers of help  Grin) would be appreciated.

When you go into the Coin Gallery, you will see a description and Date of the coin. Wherever possible there will be a link back to the original DW post as well. Give it a try.
