Carry a football refs. whistle, if you are in trouble, IE broken ankle or if you need to attract your mates attention a few short blasts will work very well.  people in the distance will stop  and looked even with head phones on Wink

Casa makes a valuable point worthy of consideration, particularly when rural locations have a very dodgy or sometimes non existent mobile phone signal

Why does no one use pmr446 walkie talkies on the rally's, couple of quid each and work over a couple of miles in open countryside. It would be nice to hear what people find from the stewards.
