Title: Saxon from sunday
Post by: doddy10 on March 28, 2011, 09:24:29 AM
Hi all

Went out on sunday to a club rally and found the usual musket balls, buttons, buckles, lead, a roman grot and a cut quarter. I kept going to the very end and found this little beauty with almost my last signal

Ricardo there Viking.
They could easly sailed up the severn in those days, and stayed there..
If you look at from the map bredon is on top of a cliff which over looks the severn.

Can't argue with that Paul - spot on.

A great coin - was it from the CHADS rally?

Thanks everyone for the comments. I was still on a high last night and I didnt get much sleep :)
It was a very lucky find  I was using a Etrac with a 12 x 10 sef coil and heard the smallest blip, rechecked it and only got a good signal with a 1" hover over the target. It landed right in the hammy area and was about 3" to 4" down.
