Do you mean SEF by Detech? If so then I would also say the fault is more likely to be in the plug or coil than the machine itself. Wink

The commonest fault with the SEF occurs at the point where the cable goes into the coil, try leaning the machine against something away from any ground signals, turn it on and gently wiggle the cable between the coil and where it meets the lower stem, if it sounds off at all then you probably have a break inside the cable also make sure the cable is not to slack at the bottom Wink

Hi i have the same problem with my gt i asked all the same questions you did.mine works in the garden in any field and on the soaking wet sand but but cant keep it quiet on dry sand it really winds me up so i just stick to the wet stuff quite annoying seeing as how this is meant to the best beach machine going. i think im going to rid of my gt and get an elite.
