Just a bucket resurgam like I had at Winscombe rally, my bucket had dirt in it, well apart from the bottom of it, that was where the hole was ;D  ;) ;)

Did you double check the hole; maybe a hoard fell through the hole in the bottom of the bucket?  ;D
