Spent the afternoon in the field with Faye until rain stopped play......managed to find a few bits...faye found the pen knife with some kind of shell inlay in the shape of a bird.
went to the beach this evening and I found the penny and the silver st chistopher...(oh and another bullet)
Boy am I going to sleep tonight!

Well done Jassy. Nice little bag seal. I found one last week, mine said 'Manure Works' different I spose.
 And a nice St.Christopher on the beach. Nice to be young. Grin
I went Walkies and cut grass and then rested my knee for the week-end. Can't 'step down' 2ft steps at my age or at least SHOULDN'T  - it hurts !!!!!

faye found the buckle thingy, we didnt know what it was to be honest! so thank you for identifying it!
thanks Val, had about 4 of them lead seals off that field, 2 of them say cardiff on one side....so does that mean your was off a bag of poo?Huh fertiliser is it??

Yes Jassy it was off a bag of poo.  I managed to ID it. It was Webbs Manure Works 1889-1910.

Only one step Jassy. Been there since we moved in but I forgot I'd levelled the grass at the bottom. It's higher now by about 18 inches. Wont do that again  Huh

which beach do you go to ?  I know you told me but its FRIDAY and brain is excited Smiley   My land is just too bad now too much arable and sheep field was terrible (shooting on there so loads of gun cartridges)

So might try the beach this weekend Smiley
