hi all here are my finds for today, lots of signals and a very good day out  Grin thanks so much to dungbeetle for arranging it.  Cool

lots of ha'pennies, including a napoleon one. a few wafer thin silver strips (from walking canes?) 1922 sixpence and spindle whorl. also a clay pipe piece (MarcB) which was sharing a hole with one of the georgian looking coins.

does anyone have an idea of what the big lead disc was used for? i did think some sort of cog, but too soft surely. then thought button? surely too big though? also does anyone know what the T RGA badge represents? and finally any idea on the object to the left of the said badge?

thanks all

sharkey

That's what you call a good day out. Well done.  The thing to the left of the badge looks like a money clip.

Very nice, think the lead disc is a 'Whirlygig' kids toy. Run some string through the holes and twist them to make the disc spin, the serrated edge makes a whirring noise as it spins.
