Is it ok to use your machine in the rain?

yep its fine,i would reccomend a machine cover though,,of course what puts some people off about tectin in the rain is you get flaming wet and uncomftable  ;)

And having mainly pasture I try not to make a mess of any land that I have permission on. So constant rain to me is a no-no. Though a bit of rain does help me find deeper signals.

As NFL has said most machines can handle a shower. And thank god they can as the best detecting, both inland and beach is too be had during the winter, so if they weren't there would be limited chances in Britain lol. Though a control box cover or even a plastic bag can only help stop moisture getting in ;)

another point to make out is that if tectin in the rain and using a control box cover, take it off when done tectin for the day {stops the  moisture that has been trapped between cover and control box ,geiting at your machine}.
