here we go again ... a couple of hours on a new field and what conclusions can i draw from these finds.

the 'mount' was found by my detecting buddy. The picture was taken on the field, after a quick rinse in the nearby stream.

not photographed are a george 2nd ha'penny, a george 1st dump ha'penny, a georgian buckle and a musket ball ... which i gave to the farmers son.   [the hammered coin is in the ask the doc  ID section]. lots of lead from the field and in some sections medieaval pot as well.

i think this field will produce something of interest, besides the 'mount'
