Went out today. Took these pics for Dungbeetle. I tried to post it in the other thread NWDD but it wouldnt work for some reason. Kept timing out.

Anyhow. Cracking roman brooch with its enamel still. They are his finds not mine.

nice finds chris like my brooch,where was my phone call?

Can anyone give me an id on the shortcross that I found last week ? I think the brooch is a Wirral type but not sure as I don't get much Roman stuff up here.

its the same as mine and sharkeys and iam sure someone said it was a Wirral brooch

brooch info -  it's a Wroxeter type which are actually derivatives of trumpet brooches, yours has a hinged pin and not a Polden hills spring, it dates up to around 150AD and is far more of a common find in the north Midlands.
It's classified as a Hattatt 1538

I found the other one last year, that's 3 and a half now mostly from near to where you found the Tealby.
