Title: Minelab Coil 'lugs' broken. Post by: Mrs Steptoe on December 17, 2014, 08:47:42 AM Has anyone else had a problem with the 'lugs' (which hold the handle bolt) breaking on a Minelab coil?
I really like using the small 18.5 eliptical coil on my 705 as it is so light, but now it is useless. :'( Any ideas on fixing it appreciated.Such a shame as the coil itself is working fine. Thanks. Mrs.S. :) Title: Re: Minelab Coil 'lugs' broken. Post by: Val Beechey on December 17, 2014, 09:41:15 AM Good Morning Mrs S. :)
Someone else had the same problem a few months ago but I can't remember who. If you've got the bit that broke off I believe it's poss to mend and reinforce it. Maybe whoever it was will see you post and advise. Val Title: Re: Minelab Coil 'lugs' broken. Title: Re: Minelab Coil 'lugs' broken. Post by: JohnF on December 17, 2014, 11:53:31 AM The same thing happened to me a few years ago. I fixed it with a small fibreglass repair kit from a car accessories shop. It wasn't particularly pretty but it did the job.

Title: Re: Minelab Coil 'lugs' broken. Post by: woodbob123 on January 12, 2015, 03:11:57 PM If anybody else has this problem use some pvc sheet and make sure you use the solvent cement/glue that plumbers use on plastic pipe from a diy store. "Welds" the plastic together.
