tides for the 10 th are poor for a beach hunt - its not good practice  searching on an incoming tide -if you find a productive area you'll be up against tide and time and it waits for no man or detectorist Cheesy Cheesy as beachboy( viv ) said the end of the month is better .Its best to aim for a high tide at about 6-7am that way you follow the tide out till about midday to 1 pm and the tide starts to flow in about 2pm meaning you have a full day for a 10 am  start to 4pm  finish with no worries and a lunch break in between  .On the 10th jan  if you start at 10 am and high waters at 2pm you,ll be up against a rapidly diminishing beach and the pressure will be on - if you do it the the other way you can relax and enjoy the whole day and explore  any productive ring areas to the full  Wink Wink   hope this helps

Thanks for the info Sandpiper

We are/was going to finalise the arrangments for the hunt at the AGM tomorrow but thanks very much for your input  ;0)

If the Annual beach hunt does go ahead i,ll be head down nuffling up the tokens hopfully before the tide washes my cold helpless body into the sea lol

We have some great prizes i hope it wont be canceled ;0(

Hi Deb

Dont worry about it youve got a few weeks to renew your membership,
Is it till the end of the month Byron? cant remember.
If the Agm gets cancelled i think it,ll be posponded to the 20th meeting that will be a pain because its find of the month night.
You can always post your membership fee to Paula or me after the AGM

Soon as i know anything i,ll post on the RARE,s news page

all the best
