First silver. One gersh 1895 Ethiopia

« on: April 03, 2017, 10:34:35 AM »

Hi   thanks to all for organising a superb rally, with a good assortment of finds
Available , photos attached.
The pendant is very small, silver with gold plate, a sign of the zodiac, Gemini.
The 3 coins where all found in the same field. The last one is thin copper,
Which I think is a fake Geo 3rd shilling, just a few specks a silver remain on
The heads side. I have 2 examples of these found near to home, dated
1816 and 1818 with better lettering a silver plating.
I've yet to see a real one, anyway I'll settle for the Queen Victoria one which
Seems in " tidy  condition " as Welsh coin collectors would say.
 Happy hunting. Glyn
