Anyone got any ideas whose family crest this may be? Am assuming it's Scottish with the thistle, but haven't been able to find it.

I seem to remember reading on one site that there were more than 170,000 diferent designs known for livery buttons.
The gauntleted hand means 'to defend' so could have been a military family. Best of luck. You'll need it. Roll Eyes
