found just a few inches deep thought it was my first hammerd but cant id it ...about as big as an old sixpence got tiny hole pierced through it ....any ideas ?

1649-1660 so around 350 years if the size is the same as a sixpence then it's more than likely a halfgroat (2d) Congratulations........just don't find any more Wink

am sure i heard some where that two burts are just about equal to an ollie ha ha.....i was propa made up when that Chef bloke told me it was an hammered me first am no longer a hammer virgin !!!!

if two burts = an ollie, i assume that
