ID please Chef or Doc

Firstly apoligies as I have been off line for a good week as the computer is giving me headaches and runny eyes again but I Have made up for it and Been out a lot the last week and will post some finds later in the week. Found this near Kington in Herefordshire on Thursday of last week and uncleaned I thought it was a Georgian Farthing but now clean It does not appear to be so. Though in poor condition and a unrecognisable reverse I thought the front showed enough detail to be recognisable to the great Sages Chef or Doc. Some writing appears to be around the portrait and the head appears to have a beard. Any ideas greatfully accepted and found at a great depth ( easily over a foot ) on pasture. Should have said it is a copper alloy metal.
