hello found in charminster  about the size of a penny  not sure what it is made off[

That's a bit different.  Looks like it was attached to something so I'd guess a mount. Very nice little find.

The sea shell was a symbol of pilgrimage and St Peter, so maybe some sort of pilgrims bling ?
Very nice and unique find  :)

Pilgrim badges are usually lead/pewter and most of time have remains of a pin ,to attach to the hat...Belt or stirrup mount of medieval I guess ...ro :)
