Title: Forgot about this Highbridge Rally find . . . Post by: Neil on June 24, 2009, 07:22:21 PM I completely forgot about this! Appears to be silver plated on lead - done the silver test. I found it in the drainage ditch of the field far to the right with the cows in right at the end of the day and showed it to a few of the burnt die hards leff at the end. :o You should have seen the two blisters that emerged on me - last time I wear a wife beater (vest}! ::)
I am pretty shure it a off a leather horse thingy - lead/silver plated - any ideas anyone? Strange how much silver plated lead came off that land! I am open to suggestions. Post-medieval but nice. Would have looked good when new. I wonder if they were all part of a fancy set which over the years gradually dropped off?
