I,m thinking of adding one of the above machines  to my present arsenal of minelab quattro goldmaxx mk1 laser powermax2 I,m asking you because I ,ll get an intelligent unbaised reply from you guys my usual critia is based on ease of use and preformance these don,nt always go hand in hand  so if theres only a slight differance between the two should Igo for the m6 Huh thanks royaltea

I can't comment on the M6 as I've never owned one but I do have an MXT and find it an excellent machine in iron infested areas. In relic mode it gives a low fart to signal ferrous metal and a higher tone for non-ferrous and these signals coupled with the VDU give a very accurate reading of what's under the soil. It's a very easy machine to set up and use.
I bought a Goldmaxx Power just before Xmas and to be honest I'm not totally confident with it, I'm used to looking at a screen to confirm target identity and I find relying on audible signals only a tad frustrating. I'm sure I'm missing good targets.
I also have a DFX but that's another story.lol.

I love my Whites DFX, but have only ever owned a DFX so I got nothing to compare it with.

i'm with dickle on this. i found the mxt great on hammered but it just lacked a bit of depth on pasture but with the arrival of the sef coil's the depth problem could be sorted. i'm on the look out for 1 myself but as i've got2 other machine's i'm not in a rush. go for the mxt you wont be sorry plus whites do a whole array of coil's purpose made.  mike

Mike I took my MXT & SEF coil to Caerleon for you to try but apparently you left early, perhaps some other time. Smiley

Sodbuster Alan have only used it once  Huh but first impressions it,s a very good coinshooter taking it to bassaleg with my explorer11 the reason I bought it was after watching toddy irvine demonstrating the mxt on a cut half it was picked up in the coin and jewellery mode better than than relic or prospecting it,s a lot easier to use cheaper fits in with my goldmaxx and explorer 11 all used in all metal audio disc good hunting Smiley mole

not sure about the m6 supposed to be a simpler version of the mxt which i used with a 12x10 sef coil which gave much more depth than any of the whites coils so with that experience my choice would be have to be the mxt.
