Out today on a new field which though alive with signals was hard work due to the land having been quarried, so the mineralisation was maddddddddd! God it was hot out there this afternoon.
I did manage a few interesting bits though, the first being a Folis of Maximinus;

Quickly followed by a piece of Fibula;

I was just beggining to think I was on to another Roman farmstead when it all went quiet on that front Huh So it was time for a coffee and a head scratch. But on restarting it wasn't to long before I found my one and only bit of silver for the day (only 50/50) in the shape of a 1936 sixpence;

Hundreds of signals but most were lead or odd bit's of trash. My coppers were also few and far between but I did get a king Billy halfpenny and a farthing of William and Mary dated 1694, not much left of it but unusual that you can even read the date;
